Amélie Le Meur is a French artist born in Rouen, in 1981. Drawing is a gift she discovered at a very early age. At 13 years old, she displayed her first works in Normandy. She pursued a course in visual communication studies and applied arts in Strasbourg.

At 20 years old, Amélie took her first steps in big national shows in Paris : first the Country Show and then the Chambord Game Fair.

Soon after, her works began to be exported over the world : in Belgium, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States of America and more recently, South Africa ; and at 22, what seemed to be only a hobby, finally became a profession in art.

Amélie, the daughter of a hunter, draws her inspiration from nature and wildlife. After having tested out different techniques, she turned towards watercolor of which the transparence and precision of these paints has allowed her to retranscribe with lightness and fidelity the wonder of nature around her.

The mastery of this art has led her to exhibit in renowned galleries such as Holland and Holland and Beretta as well as the Rambouillet’s Hunting international Show.

What makes Amélie an accomplished artist is her ability to produce customised works ; not only does she draw illustrations for wildlife projects but she also produces original commissioned works such as dogs portraits, scenes and landscapes from pictures and even hunting memories.

Her ambition is to inspire people as far as Nature inspires her. A woodcock’s inexpected flight in the forest, an impala jumping in the bush, a herd of wildebeests crossing the road, the silence of the dog finally pointing, an elephant attacking or a goose surrounded by her ducklings… these are the emotions Amélie wishes to share with you.
